South Carolina High School Football - R-S Central can't hold off Chesnee

Chesnee Eagles (Chesnee, SC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 28-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Chesnee advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Woodruff (Woodruff, SC) to play the Wolverines in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Wolverines go into the battle with a record of 4-0. Woodruff won 48-6 in their recent non-league battle against Woodmont (Piedmont, SC)

The Hilltoppers now own a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Draughn for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A match on Friday, September 19. R-S Central will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
