The Grapevine Faith Christian Lions football squad scored 55 points and limited the host Cistercian Hawks to 7 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Michael's for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Grapevine Faith Christian will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Episcopal (Bellaire, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 2-1.

The Hawks (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oakridge (Arlington, TX). The Owls go into the Southwest Prep 3A challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Oakridge bounced Coronado (El Paso, TX), 28-14, in a non-league challenge.
