The Mt. Hope Huskies football team (Bristol, RI), was tipped 18-17 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Classical Purple (Providence, RI)

The Purple (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Cougars enter the Division III contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, North Providence was nudged by Johnston (Johnston, RI), 34-8, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Huskies confront the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division III contest, on Friday, September 19. Mt. Hope will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Chieftains enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 20-14 league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI).
