The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) and the visiting Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX), witnessed McAllen's football squad knock off Edcouch-Elsa by a tally of 35-10.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Huskies enter the 5A-1 Region IV District 16 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Juarez-Lincoln was toppled by Economedes (Edinburg, TX), 41-0, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Yellowjackets encounter the Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 18. Edcouch-Elsa will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Hanna (Brownsville, TX).
