El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the visiting South Spartans (Torrance, CA), 44-14 in a non-league match.

The Eagles (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Torrance (Torrance, CA). The Tartars enter the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Torrance thwarted Cypress (Cypress, CA), 35-17, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Spartans confront the Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. South will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 53-0 non-league loss to Granite Hills (Apple Valley, CA).
