The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) and the host Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX), witnessed Farwell's football team achieve victory over Sundown by a final score of 38-26.

With the win, Farwell advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Steers travel to Abernathy (Abernathy, TX) to play the Antelopes in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Antelopes go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Abernathy lost 31-28 in their recent non-league battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX)

The Roughnecks now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to New Deal for a non-league match on Friday, September 19. Sundown will meet a Lions squad coming off a 35-7 non-league loss to Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
