Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Tri-Center Trojans (Neola, IA), 40-26 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Hinton improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Blackhawks host Ridge View (Holstein, IA) to play the Raptors in a 1A District 1 battle on Friday, September 19. The Raptors go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Ridge View lost 44-7 in their recent non-league battle against Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA)

The Trojans now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Underwood for a 1A District 8 test on Friday, September 19. Tri-Center will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 35-28 non-league loss to Clarinda (Clarinda, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
