The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) and the visiting South Garner Titans (Garner, NC), witnessed Hunt's football squad prevail over South Garner by a final score of 40-22.

With the win, Hunt advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Warriors host C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC) to encounter the Golden Falcons in a Big East 5A/6A bout on Friday, September 19. The Golden Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-1. C.B. Aycock won 42-0 in their recent non-league bout against Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC)

The Titans now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Smithfield-Selma for a Greater Neuse River 7A contest on Friday, September 19. South Garner will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 42-7 non-league win over Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-3.
