The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) and the host Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), saw Iona Prep's football team prevail over Paramus Catholic by a final score of 58-48.

With the win, Iona Prep advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Gaels host St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, September 19. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-1. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea won 25-3 in their recent league bout against Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY)

The Paladins now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Joseph Regional for a Super - United Red contest on Friday, September 19. Paramus Catholic will battle a Green Knights squad coming off a 48-0 non-league win over Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY). The Green Knights record now stands at 3-0.
