In Friday's non-league game, the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) football team triumphed over the host Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC), by a score of 42-7.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) in a Seminole game, on Friday, September 19. Jefferson Forest will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Minutemen come into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 41-20 non-league loss to Staunton River (Moneta, VA).

With the defeat, Mount Airy drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Granite bears host St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to clash with the Indians in a non-league outing on Friday, September 19.
