The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) and the host La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX), witnessed Port Neches-Groves's football squad topple La Porte by a final score of 35-21.

With the win, Port Neches-Groves advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Indians travel to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX) to encounter the Lions in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 bout on Friday, September 26. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Lake Creek won 30-28 in their recent non-league bout against Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX)
