Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Lewiston Tigers (Lewiston, NE), 30-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Meridian advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Red Cloud (Red Cloud, NE) to confront the Warriors in a D6 District 2 (6 Man) match on Friday, September 26. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 2-0.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Diller-Odell Griffin (Odell, NE) in a D6 District 1 (6 Man) match, on Friday, September 26. Lewiston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
