September 12, 2025: Hartford, SD 57033 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD) and the visiting McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), witnessed West Central's football squad knock off McCook Central/Montrose by a tally of 35-6.
The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lennox (Lennox, SD). The Orioles enter the Dakota 12 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Lennox was toppled by Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD), 17-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Fighting Cougars battle the Flandreau Fliers (Flandreau, SD) in a Big East bout, on Friday, September 19. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Fliers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 26-14 non-league loss to Deuel (Clear Lake, SD).
