South Dakota High School Football - Wagner prevails Mt. Vernon/Plankinton
September 12, 2025: Mt. Vernon, SD 57363 In Friday's league match, the visiting Wagner Red Raiders football squad scored a good 20-8 triumph over the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans.
The Red Raiders now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Wagner will meet a Seahawks squad coming off a 21-20 league loss to Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Seahawks record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD) to meet the Cubs in a Southeastern South Dakota test on Friday, September 26. The Cubs come into the test with a record of 2-2.
