The Northwest Halifax Vikings football squad scored 60 points and limited the host North Edgecombe Warriors to 0 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedar Ridge for a non-league game on Friday, September 19. Northwest Halifax will face a Fighting Red Wolves team coming off a 42-7 non-league loss to McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Fighting Red Wolves record now stands at 1-3.

The Warriors (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC). The Guardians enter the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Wake Prep Academy overwhelmed American Leadership Academy-Johnston (Clayton, NC), 49-14, in a league game.
