September 12, 2025: Oelwein, IA 50662 Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad smash the host Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), 52-20 in a non-league match.
The Knights (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons come into the 1A District 4 match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Aplington-Parkersburg routed Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA), 53-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Huskies confront the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a 2A Group 4 match, on Friday, September 19. Oelwein will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverines come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 35-7 non-league loss to Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA).
