Iowa High School Football - Wapello crushed by Pekin
September 12, 2025: Packwood, IA 52580 Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA), 52-14 in a league match.
The Panthers (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Highland (Riverside, IA). The Huskies come into the A District 5 match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Highland was routed by New London (New London, IA), 17-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Indians meet the New London Tigers (New London, IA) in a A District 5 match, on Friday, September 19. Wapello will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 2-1 record after their 17-0 league win over Highland (Riverside, IA).
