In Friday's non-league game, the Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) football team overcame the host Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX), by a tally of 35-24.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 game, on Thursday, September 18. Pflugerville Connally will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 1-2 record after their 33-20 non-league win over Eastlake (El Paso, TX).
