The Seward Bluejays felled the host Pius X Thunderbolts football squad by a count of 27-14 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bluejays now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Scottsbluff for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Seward will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 56-0 non-league win over Crete (Crete, NE). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-0.

With the defeat, Pius X drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Platteview (Springfield, NE) to meet the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 3-0. Platteview won 42-28 in their recent non-league test against Beatrice (Beatrice, NE)
