Troy Colts (Troy, MI) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), 28-14 in a non-league match.

The Colts (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Clarkston (Clarkston, MI). The Wolves come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Clarkston defeated Oxford (Oxford, MI), 38-17, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Chargers confront the Freeland Falcons (Freeland, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Powers Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Falcons come into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 31-7 league loss to Swan Valley (Saginaw, MI).
