The Premont Cowboys (Premont, TX) football trounced the host Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX), 34-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Cowboys now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Agua Dulce for a non-league outing on Friday, September 19. Premont will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 27-20 non-league loss to Taft (Taft, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Progreso drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Red ants host Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX) to battle the Lions in a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 game on Friday, September 19. The Lions enter the game with a record of 0-3. Santa Gertrudis Academy lost 26-3 in their recent non-league game against Robstown (Robstown, TX)
