The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) and the visiting Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX), witnessed Ropes's football squad wallop Sudan by a tally of 55-13.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Olton (Olton, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Olton was trounced by Texico (Texico, NM), 31-16, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Hornets encounter the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 19. Sudan will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 35-14 non-league win over Shamrock (Shamrock, TX).
