San Tan Charter Roadrunners (Gilbert, AZ) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Tonopah Valley Phoenix (Tonopah, AZ), 48-7 in a non-league match.

The Roadrunners (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Titans come into the 2A Metro 1 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Chandler Prep routed Antelope (Wellton, AZ), 49-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Phoenix confront the San Pasqual Valley Warriors (Winterhaven, CA) in a 2A Metro 5 match, on Saturday, September 20. Tonopah Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Santa Rita (Tucson, AZ).
