Strayhorn Mustangs (Sarah, MS) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Smithville Seminoles (Smithville, MS), 34-14 in a non-league match.

The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Tupelo Christian Prep was beaten by Harding Academy (Memphis, TN), 20-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Seminoles confront the Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Smithville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 2-1 record after their 37-0 non-league loss to Hatley (Amory, MS).
