September 12, 2025: Litchfield, IL 62056 Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Edinburg improves its record to 6-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to meet the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. Father McGivney Catholic lost 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL)
Next, the Purple Panthers meet the South County Vipers (Franklin, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Litchfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Vipers go into the test with a 6-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Lutheran (Springfield, IL).
