In Friday's non-league bout, the Parrish Community Bulls (Parrish, FL) volleyball team held off the host Lake Gibson Braves (Lakeland, FL), by a margin of 2-1.

The Bulls now possess a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Palmetto for a 6A District 11 bout on Tuesday, September 16. Parrish Community will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over DeSoto County (Arcadia, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
