The McNeil Mavericks prevailed the visiting Taylor Ducks volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Mavericks confront the Round Rock Dragons (Round Rock, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, September 16. McNeil will attempt to better on its 4-27 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 26-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX).

With the loss, Taylor drops to 7-15 on the campaign. The Ducks travel to Jarrell (Jarrell, TX) to confront the Cougars in a 4A Region III District 24 match on Tuesday, September 16. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 6-23. Jarrell won 3-0 in their recent league match against Lampasas (Lampasas, TX)
