New York High School Soccer - Connetquot held off by St. John the Baptist
September 13, 2022: Bohemia, NY 11716 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY) and the host Connetquot T-Birds (Bohemia, NY), saw St. John the Baptist's soccer squad get by Connetquot by a count of 1-0.
The Cougars now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Kellenberg Memorial for a NSCHAA test on Thursday, September 15. St. John the Baptist will meet a Firebirds squad coming off a 6-0 league win over St. Dominic (Oyster Bay, NY). The Firebirds record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Connetquot drops to 2-1 on the season. The T-birds travel to Longwood (Middle Island, NY) to meet the Lions in a non-league test on Friday, September 16. The Lions come into the test with a record of 2-1.
