Georgia High School Softball - Pierce County bounces Long County
September 13, 2023: Blackshear, GA 31516 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) and the visiting Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA), witnessed Pierce County's softball squad prevail over Long County by a count of 9-1.
The Bears now sport a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Appling County for a 2A Region 3 match on Thursday, September 14. Pierce County will face a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, Long County moves to 5-7 on the season. The Blue tide travel to Calvary Day (Savannah, GA) to face the Cavaliers in a 3A Region 3 match on Monday, September 18. The Cavaliers go into the match with a record of 9-6. Calvary Day won 8-5 in their recent league match against Liberty County (Hinesville, GA)
