Alabama High School Football - Abbeville Christian Academy thwarted by Sparta Academy
September 13, 2024: Evergreen, AL 36401 Sparta Academy Warriors (Evergreen, AL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Abbeville Christian Academy Generals (Abbeville, AL), 46-27 in a league battle.
With the win, Sparta Academy advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL) to play the Rebels in a AISA AA Region 1 battle on Friday, September 20. The Rebels go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Lowndes Academy won 49-7 in their recent league battle against Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL)
The Generals now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. Abbeville Christian Academy will play a Volunteers team coming off a 14-7 league win over Morgan Academy (Selma, AL). The Volunteers record now stands at 3-0.
