Nebraska High School Football - Stanton tops Central Valley

September 13, 2024: Greeley, NE 68842

The Stanton Mustangs football squad scored 40 points and limited the host Central Valley Cougars to 28 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] for a D1 District 4 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 20. Stanton will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 52-0 non-league win over Madison (Madison, NE). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-0.

With the defeat, Central Valley drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE) to meet the Coyotes in a D2 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 20. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 0-3. Anselmo-Merna lost 54-24 in their recent non-league test against Loomis (Loomis, NE)
