Alabama High School Football - Talladega can't hold off Cleburne County
September 13, 2024: Heflin, AL 36264 Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Talladega Tigers (Talladega, AL), 28-26 in a league battle.
With the win, Cleburne County advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL) to play the Golden Eagles in a 4A Region 3 battle on Friday, September 20. The Golden Eagles go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Booker T. Washington won 26-21 in their recent league battle against Tallassee (Tallassee, AL)
The Tigers now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Saint James for a 4A Region 3 battle on Friday, September 20. Talladega will play a Trojans team coming off a 21-18 league win over Handley (Roanoke, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 2-2.
