In Friday's non-league game, the Verdugo Hills Dons (Tujunga, CA) football team overcame the visiting Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA), by a tally of 20-7.

In their next game, the Dons battle the Monroe Vikings (North Hills, CA) in a East Valley game, on Friday, September 20. Verdugo Hills will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 0-3 record after their 54-0 non-league loss to Trinity Classical Academy (Valencia, CA).
