With the win, Zuni advances its record to 1-3 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to encounter the Bears in a 3A District 1 bout on Friday, September 27. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-4.
The Bruins now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Tuba City for a 2A Little Colorado bout on Friday, September 20. Hopi will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 18-14 non-league loss to Ganado (Ganado, AZ). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
