In Friday's non-league match, the host Leake Academy Rebels football squad scored a decisive 47-8 victory over the Union Yellowjackets.

The Rebels (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS). The Patriots enter the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Heritage Academy routed Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS), 56-32, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets confront the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 20. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 34-31 non-league loss to Poplarville (Poplarville, MS).
