Indiana High School Football - Portage defeated by Merrillville

The Merrillville Pirates were victorious over the host Portage Indians football team by a score of 27-13 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN) in a Duneland challenge, on Friday, September 20. Merrillville will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 20-14 league loss to Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN).

The Indians (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN). The Bulldogs enter the Duneland challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Crown Point ran past Lake Central (St. John, IN), 42-14, in a league challenge.
