Pennsylvania High School Football - Springfield sneaks past Penncrest

September 13, 2024: Springfield, PA 19064

The Springfield Cougars football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting Penncrest Lions to 35 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ridley for a Central test on Friday, September 20. Springfield will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 42-7 league win over Conestoga (Berwyn, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Penncrest drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA) to meet the Aces in a Central test on Friday, September 20. The Aces come into the test with a record of 0-5. Lower Merion lost 49-28 in their recent league test against Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA)
