California High School Football - De La Salle tops Saint Francis
September 13, 2024: Concord, CA 94518 The De La Salle Spartans football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Saint Francis Lancers to 9 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a non-league test on Friday, September 20. De La Salle will meet a Rams squad coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA). The Rams record now stands at 0-4.
With the defeat, Saint Francis drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA) to meet the Pirates in a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 1-0. Pittsburg won 28-7 in their recent non-league test against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA)
