Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Fort Dorchester Patriots (North Charleston, SC) and the host Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association Stallions (Concord, NC), observed Fort Dorchester's volleyball team hold off Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association by a count of 2-1.

The Patriots (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wilson (Florence, SC). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 1-6 record.

The Stallions now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Myrtle Beach for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 13. Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association will meet a Chiefs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Chiefs record now stands at 3-2.
