The Annie Wright Gators football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Vashon Island Pirates to 0 in the Gators league triumph on Saturday.

The Gators now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Evergreen for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. Annie Wright will face a Wolverines team coming off a 41-8 non-league loss to Pe Ell/Willapa Valley (Menlo, WA). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-1.

The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ilwaco (Ilwaco, WA). The Fishermen go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Ilwaco toppled Columbia (White Salmon, WA), 20-12, in a non-league challenge.
