In Saturday's league challenge, the host South Side Cyclones football squad scored a good 35-8 triumph over the Clarke Rams.

The Cyclones now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Division for a Section 8 Conference III test on Friday, September 19. South Side will meet a Blue Dragons team coming off a 35-17 league win over Manhasset (Manhasset, NY). The Blue Dragons record now stands at 1-0.

The Rams (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mineola (New Hyde Park, NY). The Mustangs go into the Section 8 Conference III challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Mineola lost by Hewlett (Hewlett, NY), 35-12, in a league challenge.
