New York High School Football - Hempstead prevails Westbury
September 13, 2025: Hempstead, NY 11550 In Saturday's league challenge, the host Hempstead Tigers football team scored a nice 27-12 win over the Westbury Green Dragons.
In their next game, the Tigers play the Herricks/Wheatley (New Hyde Park, NY) in a Section 8 Conference I challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Hempstead will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 34-0 league win over Hicksville (Hicksville, NY).
The Green Dragons (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Massapequa (Massapequa, NY). The Chiefs go into the Section 8 Conference I challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Massapequa toppled Freeport (Freeport, NY), 58-14, in a league test.
