The Santa Clara Bruins got by the host Independence 76ers flag football team by a score of 18-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bruins play the Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Santa Clara will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Mariners go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 19-12 non-league loss to King City (King City, CA).

The 76ers (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Hollister (Hollister, CA). The Haybalers come into the non-league test with a 0-2 record.
