Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Avonworth knocks off Wilmington
September 13, 2025: Pittsburgh, PA 15237 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA), witnessed Avonworth's soccer team triumph over Wilmington by a final score of 6-0.
With the triumph, Avonworth moves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Antelopes host Ambridge (Ambridge, PA) to clash with the Bridgers in a WPIAL AA 3 test on Monday, September 15. The Bridgers come into the test with a record of 2-4. Ambridge lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Beaver (Beaver, PA)
The Greyhounds now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenville for a District 10 Region 2 test on Monday, September 15. Wilmington will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-2.
