September 13, 2025: Carlsbad, NM 88221 The Lovington Wildcats soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Santa Teresa for a non-league bout on Monday, September 15. Lovington will play a Desert Warriors squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Desert Warriors record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, Carlsbad moves to 2-7 on the year. The Cavemen/cavegirls host Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM) to play the Bulldawgs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 16. The Bulldawgs go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Las Cruces lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Clovis (Clovis, NM)
