North Carolina High School Soccer - Voyager Academy nudges West Johnston
September 13, 2025: Durham, NC 27704 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Voyager Academy Vikings (Durham, NC) and the visiting West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), saw Voyager Academy's soccer squad hold off West Johnston by a count of 3-2.
The Vikings (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC). The Phoenix enter the Diamond Nine 1A/2A/3A battle with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Raleigh Charter was tipped by Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC), 1-0, in a league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee County for a Carolina Pines 6A battle on Monday, September 15. West Johnston will confront a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Cary (Cary, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 4-5.
