Oklahoma High School Softball - Strother edged by Wetumka
September 13, 2025: Seminole, OK 74868 Wetumka Chieftains (Wetumka, OK) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Strother Yellowjackets (Seminole, OK), 1-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Wetumka betters its record to 13-6 on the season. The Chieftains host Porter (Porter, OK) to battle the Pirates in a Class A match on Monday, September 15. The Pirates come into the match with a record of 4-15.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Drumright Tornadoes (Drumright, OK) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 16. Strother will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Tornadoes come into the match with a 11-9 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Yale (Yale, OK).
