Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA) and the host Alisal Trojans (Salinas, CA), observed Mills's volleyball team hold off Alisal by a tally of 2-1.

The Vikings (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, King's Academy got by Basis Independent Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Trojans meet the Everett Alvarez Eagles (Salinas, CA) in a Pacific Coast - Mission contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Alisal will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Oakwood (Morgan Hill, CA).
