Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the CORE Butte Lynx (Chico, CA) and the host Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA), saw CORE Butte's volleyball squad nudge Trinity by a score of 2-1.

With the win, CORE Butte improves its record to 8-4 on the season. The Lynx travel to Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 0-13. Central Valley lost 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA)

The Wolves now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Shasta for a Shasta Cascade challenge on Tuesday, September 16. Trinity will meet a Bears team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA). The Bears record now stands at 9-4.
