Virginia High School Volleyball - First Flight tips Tallwood

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) and the host Tallwood Lions (Virginia Beach, VA), observed First Flight's volleyball team hold off Tallwood by a tally of 2-1.

The Nighthawks (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces enter the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last test, Holmes tipped Gates County (Gatesville, NC), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Lions now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Princess Anne for a Beach challenge on Tuesday, September 16. Tallwood will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-6.
